This March is B Corp month, and we are excited to celebrate our second year as a B Corp. We wanted to get as involved as possible, so we attended as many events as we could and hosted our own B Corp breakfast mixer.
We took this opportunity to invite other B Corps and B-curious-Corps to come and hang out with us, eat pastries and have a chat about Equality Diversity and Inclusion. We discussed how we can make EDI core to the cultures within our own companies and extend it into the community.

Our B Corp network
We then introduced the concept of mycelium. It used to be widely believed that trees were independent lifeforms, obtaining their own resources from the sky and the soil.
We now know that forests are connected by vast networks of mycorrhizal mushrooms. These mushrooms’ networks of mycelium beneath the soil connect the roots of all the trees and allow them to share resources so that they might all grow together as one healthy community.
At Aspire, just like our partner, the National Forest, we like to think of our connecting values as a mycelial network that nourishes and strengthens us all.
Over the next 5 years, we want to focus on bringing our attention to the wider network and how we can reach our mycelium further into the community so that we may benefit more people and businesses.
