Our aim has always been to go Above and Beyond in training and make a positive difference in our world.

Theory of Change

That’s why it’s so exciting for us to be able to announce that as of August 2023, Aspire Leadership is a certified B Corp.

B Corp is a community of companies across the globe that meet high standards for their social and environmental impact.

In a nutshell, our B Corp certification recognises our commitment to putting people and the planet ahead of profits.

While certification happened in 2023, our commitment to the ideals behind it has been part of Aspire Leadership since we were founded.

We’re really proud to be part of the movement and excited for how the Learning and Development industry can contribute to an equitable, inclusive, and regenerative economy.

To be certified we had to demonstrate our social environmental impact and commitment to stakeholder governance, accountability and transparency.

You can find our B Corp profile here.

But we’re not done, as well as undertaking the assessment process every three years, we’ll continuously improve the way we work in order to serve the interests of our team, clients, community, and planet.

Our values are key to the way we work in each of the B-Corp Impact areas.

Workers

We’re a Living Wage employer and have a community-based model for working with our freelance team, with ongoing professional development, support, and guidance.

Environment

We are a mycelium partner of the UK National Forest and as part of our commitment to our planet, we are working towards achieving Net Zero.

Customers

We champion a transparent relationship with our clients and delegates and are responsive to their feedback. We’re members of the Association for Coaching and Association for Business Psychology as part of our commitment to delivering high-quality work to our clients. You can see the fruits of that relationship in our results.

Community

We regularly do Pro-bono (such as for StreetDoctors, the Migrant Resource Centre and Basic Income UK) or reduced-price (including FareShare, Save the Children, and the Thomas Pocklington Trust) training for charities. If you’re with a registered charity, or certified B Corp, and want to discuss the discounts for community organisations please contact us.

We’re a signatory of the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles and a supporter of the animal welfare charity Mayhew.

We try to use local independent suppliers like our friends at Remark!, Berkeley Catering, New Ground Coffee, and I Hate Ironing.

Governance

We’re a female-founded and led organisation and are committed to creating diverse and inclusive workplaces.

That involves including the team in our overall strategy and having a rigorous set of policies and processes to make sure what we do is fair and ethical.

All B Corps sign this declaration of interdependence.

B Corp Declaration of Interdependence

We envision a global economy that uses business as a force for good. This economy is comprised of a new type of corporation – the B Corporation – which is purpose-driven and creates benefit for all stakeholders, not just shareholders.

As Certified B Corporations and leaders of this emerging economy, we believe:

  • That we must be the change we seek in the world.
  • That all business ought to be conducted as if people and place mattered.
  • That, through their products, practices, and profits, businesses should aspire to do no harm and benefit all.
  • To do so requires that we act with the understanding that we are each dependent upon another and thus responsible for each other and future generations.
