techUK

techUK is the professional members body that represents the companies and technologies that are defining today the world that we will live in tomorrow. More than 900 companies are members of techUK. These companies range from leading FTSE 100 companies to new innovative start-ups.

techUk invited Aspire to work with their middle managers from digital marketing, negotiation & lobbying and customer liaison. Doug Osbourne was delighted to take up the offer.

The aim of the Communications day was to improve internal communications and the ability to handle day-to-day demands. We explored how to hone messages for quick dissemination and absorption. In short how to create quick, high impact communication, be it face to face, or virtual.

The Influencing Senior Stakeholders day was an even more focused affair. With almost exactly the same group we explored the specific – and most common – routes of communication for each individual manager. This required a great deal of thinking on your feet and creative feedback from the group on how to get maximum buy-in from external stakeholders; politicians, legal advisors, and sponsors plus the best use of much broader platforms, such as the techUK newsletter.

We looked at some of the simplest, quickest and most effective ways to make small changes to a conversation or presentation – formal or over a coffee – to get stakeholders on board. We even managed to squeeze in some excellent broad based feedback on sharpening up the content and display of the techUK newsletter to encourage more clicks!

A great team who loved the honing of the two training days to their individual needs.
