Sightsavers
We are always looking to collaborate with third sector organisations whose work we admire. And this is definitely the case with Sightsavers – an international charity who works to prevent avoidable blindness around the world. So when they asked us to design a development programme for their Fundraising team, we were delighted.
The challenge was to make sure we were stretching this experienced and skilled team. They wanted advanced thinking and techniques to help them take their relationships with new and existing donors to the next level. They also wanted to be able to apply these skills to interactions with internal stakeholders in order to gain buy-in and enhance unity across the organisation.
Jess designed a two day programme called ‘Creating Connection’; a mix of Personal Impact techniques and Networking skills to help build meaningful and lasting connection with stakeholders of all kinds, face to face in the office, at events, on the phone and online.
Jess and Sally delivered the programme at the Sightsavers offices in Haywards Heath, and were made to feel very welcome. The trusts, corporate and major donor fundraisers came together for the training and the two days were fun, rigorous and dynamic. As well as learning new skills that they could apply straight away, the fundraisers were able to share stories and best practice between themselves to become even better at what they do, and continue to support the invaluable work of this charity.
