As an executive coach, I work with my clients to take control of the impact they want to have on the people around them – be that their teams, their boards or their clients. The combination of my training in acting, psychotherapy and coaching means I am focussed on why people behave the way they do and how I can help them find other options. I believe we sometimes hold a narrow and perhaps limited view of ourselves – I help my clients gain access to a greater range of choices when thinking about themselves and when communicating with others to ultimately achieve and succeed.

Who do I work with?

I specialise in working with people who are entering Leadership positions (often for the first time) and are now more visible in their organisations. I help them take control of their impact and style – we may work on presentation skills; on effective communication or on personal mindset and goal-setting.

How do I do this?

It somewhat depends on you. People learn differently. I employ different techniques from talking methods to experiential exercises in order to vary the form and energy of the coaching session. I want the session to be practical and engaging to inspire my clients and facilitate new thinking and skills. My style is friendly, warm and incisive. I might challenge you if you give me permission to do so. I hold my clients in what Carl Rogers’ called ‘unconditional positive regard’ which creates an atmosphere of safety and respect. We’ll set clear goals at the beginning of the coaching programme and review them regularly to keep the work focussed and results-orientated.

Over the last 6 years, I have accrued many hours of experience coaching senior leaders including CEOs and Directors and I am ICF (International Coaching Federation) accredited. I work with both private and third sector individuals. I am an MBTI and NLP practitioner and trained in Non-Violent Communication – all methods I draw on when coaching. My work as a Systems coach with teams means I am very aware of the ‘system’ or ‘systems’ each of us is part of so my one to one work also uncovers the challenges and opportunities of what happens when we go back and try new approaches in the old, unchanged system.

You can never have an impact on society if you have not changed yourself – Nelson Mandela

I look forward to working with you!

Enlightening, reflective, challenging and self-assuring. Jess was very flexible and helpful catering around a very busy schedule. The insight, methodologies and frameworks were “spot on” every single time and I am greatly thankful for her guidance. I found the sessions very powerful as they helped me shape my thought process to be able to apply different executive strategies to cater for any scenario.
