At Aspire Liz was enthusiastic to work with Sovereign as a leading housing association. Sovereign is striving to provide quality, affordable homes in happy, successful places.
With 58,000 homes they invest for the long-term, creating great places to live, working with residents and partners to support them in realising their potential.
After a recent merger Sovereign has doubled in size and the Senior Leadership Group are key figures in leading the organisation through the changes and challenges along the way.
The initial requirement from Aspire has been to provide a three-day leadership training programme to be delivered over a year to support the SLG on this journey.
Liz was keen to work closely with the group to design programmes that were responsive to the practical needs of the SLG as the changes within the organisation developed.
The key areas we focused on were Agile Leadership, stepping up to the role, inspiring and motivating staff, creating a coaching culture, managing change and influencing across all levels.
The work was aimed at a high level to reflect the experience and seniority of the group, but Liz kept the days highly interactive and practical to keep the work relevant and the group engaged and challenged. Liz was struck by the dedication and commitment each of the members of the SLG brought to the programmes. They absolutely embodied the Sovereign values in how they work, make decisions, and guide the business into the future:
