Background & Professional Journey

Lucy Timmons is an executive and team coach whose fascination with coaching began when she herself was coached as an Executive Headteacher. Qualifying through the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), she recognised that her curiosity about people, performance and potential had always been present — in the classroom, in school leadership and earlier still, in the rehearsal room as an actor.

Throughout her career in education and the arts, Lucy has been drawn to deeper questions: What drives us? How do we learn, grow and adapt? What enables us to move beyond pressure and constraint into clarity and possibility? This enduring curiosity now underpins her work with senior leaders and executive teams.

Coaching Approach

Lucy’s coaching style is open, warm and grounded in trust. She sees each client as the world-leading expert on themselves and believes deeply in their resourcefulness and capacity for growth.

Her sessions are both playful and purposeful — light in tone yet sharp in insight. Clients frequently describe leaving coaching feeling heard, focused, emboldened and ready for action.

Lucy does not advise, judge or criticise. Instead, she listens carefully, questions thoughtfully and reflects precisely. Drawing on evidence-based models and tools including, Transactional Analysis and systemic approaches, she supports leaders to gain clarity, shift perspective and translate insight into meaningful change.

Each engagement begins with a clear exploration of outcomes:

If the best possible outcome were to happen in our work together, what would that be?

From there, goals are defined and progress is reviewed regularly to ensure coaching remains impactful and aligned.
