With an international background, Kate has a genuine curiosity about people. Her energetic and playful style helps to break down complex ideas to help people discover actionable steps and solutions to workplace challenges.

Kate’s international experience, having lived in six countries across four continents, has given her a distinctive global perspective and nuanced understanding of diverse working, leadership, and communication styles. Having grown up in Hong Kong and worked in South East Asia, Kate is excited to be returning to the region in July this year, where she will be well-placed to provide her training and coaching expertise to companies across the Asia-Pacific region. Her experience and background enriches her work in global organisations, supporting them to build connected, supportive and productive teams, across time zones and cultures.

Kate has a BSc in Psychology, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education, an MA in Development Education, and an ICF-accredited qualification in personal and business coaching. From her early days working on a debt trading floor, to over eighteen years working in education, international development, coaching, and facilitation, Kate has carved her successful career on the principle that life is too short to not love what you do, and draws on a sense of adventure, kindness, and hard work to find joy and alignment in her work.

Kate’s training approach is guided by the understanding that every individual is unique and has their own set of values and goals. She connects with clients with empathy, compassion, and a sense of humour, and works with client to create a warm and engaging space for them to do their best thinking, empowering them to identify their own actionable steps and solutions.

Outside of the training and coaching room, Kate loves adventures. Whether she’s training for a Tough Mudder or half marathon, exploring somewhere new, or gigging with her choir, Kate is always looking for ways to push herself out of her comfort zone.
