Annemarie is an international coach and trainer with a Master’s in Sociology from Stanford University, concentrating in social psychology and interpersonal dynamics. She is a certified professional coach and draws upon her background in Co-Active™ Leadership and Kirkpatrick Training Evaluation™ methods when designing and evaluating L&D programmes.

She may have a nerdy flair, yet she rounds this out with grounded professionalism, playful wit and Californian warmth that helps her clients reflect, learn and give it a go.

Her approach is rooted in the underlying belief that most people would like to feel accomplished, respected and valued at work. And yet this is far from the reality that many people experience day-to-day.

This motivates her to work with individuals and groups to explore how they can proactively address sources of stress and burnout, communicate in more satisfying and productive ways and cultivate a stronger sense of meaning.

She brings pragmatism and insight from experience working in Stanford University Admissions and overseeing client partnerships for an e-learning startup where she liaised with L&D teams at Groupon, Google, Match.com and Eventbrite. She has designed and delivered tailored programmes with audiences ranging from Graduates to Executives in the industries of technology, construction, engineering, media, non-profit and education. Annemarie additionally serves as a workplace mental health coach with Sanctus in London.

After hours you’ll find her at yoga or Latin dance classes at Pineapple studios, hosting fancy dress parties, loving lazy Sundays in the pub or park, and venturing to the seaside for swims, surfs and cycle rides.

‘My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.’ Maya Angelou
